Trying to reconnect with netcfg totally crashed my PC!

I have an atheros chip in my wireless card. I lost the connection to my home network, which happens sometimes because I don't get a great signal in my bedroom.

So, I  switched to my terminal window and typed

sudo netcfg -d home

then

sudo netcfg home

and then the screen went blank and my keyboard stopped responding, etc. X died.

Here is my /var/log/errors.log

Mar 7 09:26:10 Archbox dhcpcd[4036]: ath0: failed to rebind
Mar 7 09:26:53 Archbox wifi0: ath_tx_start: Invalid transmission rate, 0.

Mar 7 09:26:53 Archbox BUG: scheduling while atomic: X/3998/0x00000003

Has this happened to anyone else? What should I do?

Find out if this is a repeatable problem--it may have just been a random fluke. (I was never able to reproduce the "scheduling while atomic" error I once encountered, for example.)
