Recover files

Hello everybody,

I'm using Archlinux and I pressed the Enter key without paying attention, and deleted a folder as root using Midnight Commander. Can I recover this folder?

I have been searching but no answers found.

In short : no you cannot without going thru a lot of hassles. you can use the dd command to copy all the data to another drive and then maybe use some recovery tool. But that also does not guarantee anything.
