Hi guys,
So I have a web server and want to put up a blogging platform on it. I've narrowed it down to wordpress and habari, unless you can recommend better. I tried habari and it says I don't have the php modules, which makes it a pain to go through, unless someone can post a howto on the wiki. I realize wordpress is more stable and probably better supported, but I also know that's it bloated. I'd like something like this website done by a fellow arch user: http://aisforarch.homelinux.org/
I downloaded the SVN code from habari and tried it out, but with no success especially when I put the .htaccess file in the blog folder.
So, if someone has a blogging platform set up on Arch, could they document it? Thanks a bunch!

I can't remember the name of the theme off the top of my head, but http://aisforarch.homelinux.org is built using wordpress and a free template. If I remember where I saw it for download, I'll let you know.

It is at the bottom of the page: a link to Wordpress (so it is built using wordpress) and to the theme maker: http://www.neoease.com/themes/

Problem solved. I'm sticking with Habari. It's definitely much lighter than wordpress. The problem was with .htaccess, AllowOverride FileInfo, and php modules. I'll write up a howto on the wiki and post it up soon! Thanks anyway.

Oh, okay I was just about to recommend Drupal. There's a couple free hosts; I'll be using it soon.
