A simple AUR question

Hi, I have just install a package from AUR, and after I makepkg -s, I have "mpg123-oss-1.6.3-1-i686.pkg.tar" file as well as some other files.

If I want to backup it, do I need to backup all the files in the folder, or simple this "mpg123-oss-1.6.3-1-i686.pkg.tar" file? My question is: if I only backup this ".i686.pkg.tar" file, am I able to use it to pacman -U to install it next time?  or I should backup all the files coming as a result of makepkg -s

Re: A simple AUR question

Thanks for the quick reply!
That mean, I will only need backup a very small file instead of the whole package, great!
Yes, I agree, I am in love with Arch more and more each day:)

Re: A simple AUR question

Actually, that .pkg.tar.gz file is the whole package.

Re: A simple AUR question

Just remember that if you don't backup everything else, you will need to recreate the PKGBUILD and everything from scratch next time you want to rebuild for a version bump or different compile options etc.

Surgat_ is right but I assumed that's what the OP meant.
