i have a confession to make

this is my first post as dodgefan but i have been here before. my former username was o2bfishn and on 4/27/07 i made a post that stated i would be leaving arch. the thread caused a bit of a stir as do other threads relating to someone leaving for some various reasons. however i did not give very good reasons at that time. i was looking for a distro that my family could use and at that time it wasnt arch and my post was not very imformative as to the reasons, but no need to go down that road again. i also wont post a link to the thread as it has been locked and if you really need to you can find it yourself. i think my family gave up on linux, they are happier in windows...and for some of my games i am too.

so, this is my formal apology to the arch community, the developers, all the users then and now, and myself for being shortsighted and narrowminded. over the past two years i have become more familiar with many different flavors of linux and i have also grown as a person. i hope to be able to really share what i have learned and once again become a part of this community. and yeah iphitus...you were right, i came back smile

oh yeah, just noticed that i registered this account a year ago as well and this is my first post...no i havent been using arch for a year, i just started using it full time again a couple of days ago.

Re: i have a confession to make

Well, I'm glad that Arch Linux wasn't the *first* Linux distro I used... I had the good opportunity to get my feet wet with Ubuntu first (and many othe Linux distros, as I never felt Ubuntu was the best one... but I kept returning to it because it was better than Opensuse, Fedora, and the like.) When I found Arch Linux, I was experienced enough; it was like finding home. Welcome home! smile
