pacman -Syu "gap"

hi there.

There's a "gap" on pacman's -Syu after checking all repos, on my machine it takes some seconds with some disk activity where it's probably colliding the recent gathered info from the repos with the local database.
The thing is that it'd be cool if pacman said something ending with ellipsis but before the "Starting full system upgrade..." that shows the packages to be updated smile no?

people ain't dumb about the process but still... that's some minor thing I think worth considering wink

Re: pacman -Syu "gap"

you should post a feature request on the pacman page. Maybe the devs will implement it. smile

Well, honestly, it doesn't matter to me at all. I update once in a week or two. So its not like I have to wait endlessly every hour wink. Just my 2 cents

Like I said it's a minor thing... it's not that people can't guess what's happening, but it's cool to be informative to what's happening in the background wink
