3 quick problems

I just installed arch and its amazing.
Bu i have 3 problems.
1st is the fact hald isnt running, I believe this is why i it won't mount anything.
2nd how do i crated account so i dont have to use root all the time?
3rdhow do i make kdemod work with alsa or oss4?

1) Add hal to the DAEMONS array in rc.conf
2) See the Beginners Guide. It tells you everything about it.
3) No idea - I have never used KDE.

#3: once the sound system is running (add alsa or oss to the DAEMONS array), KDEMod will use it automatically.

Also How do i enble the admin to logon in gdm?
I only have the root account.

NEVER start an xserver from a root account!

If gdm is starting during your boot you need to switch to the console (ctl-alt-f1) and login there. Then follow the directions in this part of the Beginners guide.

Yeah, the most complex thing I've done is a net install of ubuntu.
I like that fact that it feels awesoem when you fix something.
Also what the command to get the arch info thing?

If you mean the script you see in the screenshots, search the bbs for info.pl.
