Shorewall and proxy [SOLVED]

Hello there,

I set up a gateway on my local LAN. My firewall is Shorewall. I also use Privoxy (proxy).
Shorewall redirects outbound web connections to my proxy (i.e. transparent proxy). This actually works for any connection coming from my local LAN, but not when I browse the Internet from my server (I happen to use it for this purpose, too). And I wish Privoxy would filter these connections as well. Is it possible? What do I need to configure? Shorewall? Privoxy? My browser (kazehakase)?

Following this guide, my current situation is a transparent proxy running on the firewall:

You want to redirect all local www connection requests EXCEPT those to your own http server [...] to a [...] transparent proxy running on the firewall and listening on port 3128.

. I don't understand this chapter very well. Is it actually what I'm looking for?

Thanks for any guidance.

*EDIT*
Nevermind, I just configured my browser to go through privoxy. I don't know why this didn't work in the first place, though.
