Hi all, I've been discussing this in another thread but thought it needed it's own as it may get ignored over there. Anyway, apparently the latest patched Firefox (Gran Paradiso) 3.0.8 is in the Extra repo, but Pacman reckons I'm up to date. I'm running 3.0.7 and the mirror I use is fully synced as of a few hours ago. I know its probably just a case of waiting but I wondered if anyone else had experienced this? I don't want to be on 3.0.7 for too long!
Thanks

Why?? Is 3.0.7 giving you that many problems?
There's no such thing as a stupid question, but there sure are a lot of inquisitive idiots !

@scottuss if you are using i686 the packages was just been updated. you need to wait a bit.
Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Thanks for the replies, no I don't have any issues with 3.0.7 I just want the latest version, I read about a security vulnerability that is patched in 3.0.8 and my Ubuntu VM got it this morning so I just wondered when my Arch box would get it. Also, Im on Arch64. Anyway, I'll be patient

It seems that I am not getting the newest firefox because it depends on newest gtk, which depends on newest libxi, which depends on newest xorg-server, which conflicts with my video driver (catalyst 9.3), and yes, I am not upgrading to 9.4 because support of my integrated video has been dropped. Nice

You should have thought of that, before you bought an ATi graphics product.
Use the open-source radeon driver.
Support is very good up until R500 chipsets.
