I just can't get it to work properly. I thought since now it's official gnome burning app the problems will be solved but that's just not the case. First of all, i just can't force it to burn dvds at speed higher then 2x, no matter which settings do i choose. Second problem, it fails to verify burnt disk, always reports error even when disk is ok. I'm not sure what frontend it uses by default, i tried changing libburn priority to 1 in gconf settings but it didn't make any difference. Btw, xfburn works ok. Damn, why there's no decent burning solution for linux, ImgBurn through wine works perfectly but i prefer to use native apps whenever possible.

Do you see the paradoxical nature of your statement ??

Yeah, let's say xfburn has potential, but it's to simple, it's missing some important features, like data verification, multisession burning... I mentioned it since it uses libburn as a frontend, so i thought brasero set to use libburn should work also.

K3B seems to be the most loved cd/dvd burner available. I don't use it, but you can give it a try.
I am a minimalist and so I just use Recorder -- which was developed by a fellow Archer. The only thing that I burn anyway is the installation CDs for Distros that I try out and/or stuff like GParted live cd or a DBAN cd. Recorder works amazingly well for my purposes.

Sorry, i forgot about K3B, it's very professional and complete burning application, too bad it hasn't been updated in a while. Anyway, i prefer gtk applications since i use gnome/xfce. I think i once tried Recorder, it is indeed perfectly suited for the tasks you use it.
