I rarely run meminfo but after running sabnzbd (newsgroup server) only downloading (no extraction or par2 yet) and this is the result:
top/meminfo reports i have around 3-500mb free of RAM!? How do you take a current snapshot of top (since its loading processors in and out)?
I currently have archlinux 32bit right now running 1 session of firefox, compiz in the background, and sabnzbnd downloading a 4GB movie, and that's basically it.
I have 4GB of ram, but no PAE enabled in the stock kernel and no 64bit.
Looking at top it seems python is eating a lot of ram (sabnzbd runs on python) around 500mb but wheres the rest of my RAM?

Free RAM is Wasted RAM.
What is the output of `free -m`? I'm tipping there will be a lot of MB in Cache.
