I would like to start cplay in a particular directory, but for some reason it starts playing the songs in that directory by default. Is there any way to load it up in a particular directory without it starting playback?
Currently, I start cplay using this command
cplay -rR /home/inxs/downloads/
The man page for cplay is surprisingly sparse

Yes that is obvious, isn't it?
But I am actually starting cplay within screen in my screenrc. I believe that cplay is no longer being developed/maintained. Its website is also no longer available. I am currently looking at moc/mocp as a replacement.

make 'cplay' an alias for cd desired/directory ; cplay.
