i just installed the newest version of pacman because yaourt needed it.
now i cannot install any package, and im stuck with a torrent slave with no torrent software installed :@
[root@torrentslave yaourt]# pacman -Sy

error: failed to update community (unexpected error)

[root@torrentslave yaourt]#
what do i do to sort this out?

edit nm: the new mirror list was all commented out by default

It'll be your mirror. Check you pacman.conf - http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Pacman#Repositories

my conf file is the same as in the link you posted.
I updated using pacman -Syu recently fine, but since then I get error as described above.

Pacman's output will have said something about either files being installed as .pacnew, or saved as .pacsave
Did you review those files and merge where appropriate?

for all that have the problem. check /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist and see if is a mirror uncommented.
