Thanks for writing the newsletters, I enjoyed this one as well as all others I read so far.
The tips are most useful to me since I often lack what seems to be common knowledge, like how to use diff/patch and so on. The tips are short, to the point and thus useful, thanks.

I also like the interviews, it's nice to get to know the devs a little bit and probably also good for their egos.

it was valid as of the date the newsletter was published. however, a few days ago linux.com was given a complete redesign and since then the link is invalid. i have the article mirrored here if you want to read it.

I didn't say I bought it, neither did Aaron. We both happen to work for companies that pay us to use macs. I don't see anyone stepping up to pay me to use Linux!

But I'd like that, I really would.

At my previous job, everyone (about 50 people) was using a mac. The techical guys (including me) got macbook pro's. I tried MacOS for a month or so and I really did not like it, so i installed Arch on it. My direct boss didn't like it too much but eventually he was ok with it. (and his boss didn't care )

Heh, cool story, all in all I agree with you. The macos is great and looks way way better than windows and that many default Linux DE. But is way too locked in to be of any joy to a customization freak.
