I know, it was a kind of joke, but it seems it wasn't good... (at least, you need to see is wallpaper to understand)
You probabably understood and probably that my joke wasnt funny

This would sort-of make sense on a CRT but not on an LCD...
Actually even if an LCD does use up less energy than a CRT, a LCD drains power for white AND black pixels. The energy "drain" is quite the same...LCD's can't make a difference between a white and a black pixel. CRT's use less energy to display a "black" pixel,( like 2 thirds of the requirement for a white one), but they still do

Using a console IM client is pointless if you're not using a tiling WM. Atleast start using Screen, that way your IM sessions stay alive if your X crashes or you decide to restart it. Nice setup nonetheless

Hi,
what apps do you use for IM and calendar?

Well if you do use Ratpoison, Screen will grow on you. It's kind of the same thing command-wise, only the first controls windows, the second controls "virtual" terminals
Post your Xdefaults colors btw

Not to complain, but just a question... What brings you to post your screenshots here if you never used arch?
Another reason is that a lot of other Linux communities couldn't give a rat's a** about
desktop shots.
