How to autostart SCIM?

I'd like to autostart the SCIM, but it only starts after I open firefox...It's very strange and I don't know why.

I have the following settings in ~/.bash_profile. I don't know whether it's the right place to do so.

export LC_CTYPE="en_US.utf8"
export XIM="SCIM"

Re: How to autostart SCIM?

Have you checked out the wiki?
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Sma … igure_SCIM

I think the solution may be to automatically run scim -d when you start a graphical session (for example by adding the command above your windowmanager in ~/.xinitrc)
