I actually did use Cmus for a while. Wonderful application (and I liked the vim-style UI), but I eventually decided on MPD instead for various reasons.

What were your selling points? I actually like both very much but I am multi-lingual and sometimes I only want one language/style vs another, which is why Cmus is perfect because of its filtering/play queue.
