Ok so I'm at a loss on this one. When I boot my computer my wireless works fantastic. low ping tmes to router, high download speeds. Problem is if I need to bring the network down by typing netcfg down profile when i bring it back up again with netcfg profile it's crazy slow. I go from 16mbps download to like 300kbps. The thing is it doesn't only effect my computer, the whole network crawls to a slow.
screen shot of speed test after boot.
ok now i'm going to bring the network down using netcfg

here is my lsmod output as well as my network profile and rc.conf.
I'm at a complete loss
OK so I guess I spoke to soon. after playing around I figured out that if I;
netcfg down profile
modprobe -r rt2500usb
modprobe rt2500usb
netcfg profile
everything is peachy. I just made an alias called netcfg-down that does netcfg down profile && modprobe -r rt2500usb && modprobe rt2500 and did something similar for an alias called netcfg-restart
Edit 2: thanks go to freenode #archlinux user Arkham for at the very least ackowledging my presence
