Hey there!
I've read a lot of forums, i saw many users have problems with eeepc901's wifi, but i dont know if my problem is the same..
I've isntalled Arch on my brand new eeepc 901 (w016) with stock kernel. installed eeepc-laptop module too and got almost everything work fine, exept the bluetooth and the wireless.. bluetooth aint that important atm, what is important for me is the wireless first.
fn + f2 button for turning wireless on/off is working fine, i turn on the wireless and there appears the device as ra0, but i can't make any scans..
-if i do
iwlist scan it says>
ra0 No scan results
in wicd manager it says no wireless network founds (i've set the wicd to use ra0 as wireless device)
*wicd and dbus daemons are loaded at startup
What should the problem be?
with respect,
dvl
EDIT > this is what i get
bash-3.2# netcfg-auto-wireless ra0
:: Scanning for networks [BUSY]
SIOCSIFFLAGS: Operation not permitted
- No networks available. [FAIL]
.
or from wifi radar >
ra0 Interface doesn't support scanning : Network is down

[SOLVED]
I got the wireless (and everything) working with changeing to the kernel-eeepc-901 from AUR based on kernel .30
