Since a few days I've been having some issues with random black screens.
Sometimes when I'm busy using my system, sometimes when it's idle, 5 minutes after I boot or 5 hours...
My screen just turns black. I can go back to the virtual consoles but the 7th just stays black, even when I kill X and slim.
Anyone have any ideas?

Which Window Manager do you use ? Is it a problem after a pacman -Syu too ? Which kernel/driver/xorg do you use? What about your xorg.conf ?

Just when I was typing a reply, it turned a dark shade of pink :-/ And half an hour before that it turned black while watching a movie on mplayer (sound kept working).

There are a couple of things you can try in the above. I still have the issue however on both NVIDIA and Intel, with a fully updated system.
