[SOLVED] BIND and resolving domain hostnames
I installed BIND on one of my computers with the intention of using it as a caching nameserver. That works great. One weird problem. Some programs cannot resolve hostnames.
Programs that can:
* Opera
* ping
* dig
* Bitlbee
* nslookup
Programs that can't
* SSH
* Wget
* Pacman/Yaourt
* Claws-mail
Any idea why some programs would be unable to resolve hostnames whilst others work fine?
Solved I changed the allow-recursion line, because it mentioned 127.0.0.1. I have no idea what it does, but changing it to allow all networked computers seems to have fixed it.
