I have updated my system yesterday (after few months) and I encountered problems with network.
When I try to connect via netcfg
netcfg myprofile
I get message that connecting is "DONE". I get no other messages, errors etc. However the network doesn't work. I can't ping any domain, nor ip address.
This is my profile file, which worked for me up to now:
#
# Network Profile
#
CONNECTION="wireless"
DESCRIPTION="Profile generated by arch assistant instant connection wizard"
# Network Settings
INTERFACE=wlan0
HOSTNAME="arch-laptop"
# Interface Settings
IP="dhcp"
IFOPTS="dhcp"
# Wireless Settings
SECURITY="none"
ESSID="MYESSID"
KEY=""
SCAN="no"
If I try to connect manually:
sudo ifconfig wlan0 up
sudo iwconfig wlan0essid "MYESSID"
sudo dhcpcd wlan0
everything works fine.
Is there anything wrong with my profile file? What can I do?
I use iwl3945 driver.

Yes, I switched to wicd and it works excellent... Strange, that about year ago I switched from wicd to netcfg/archassistant, now I can't remember why...
