i am interested in having apache serve a bunch of documents that are mostly in pdf format. when browsing the documents remotely i cant view them unless i wait for them to a local temporary directory. however some of the files are quite large and this takes a long time. i would like to run some sort of server side pdf viewer so that only a page at a time (or optionally a buffer of set length) is transferred to the client. ditto for djvu and chm
TIA

First entry after asking google (pdf online viewer):
It converts the PDF and other file formats to images and give you a small interface. Here is an example: http://view.samurajdata.se/ps.php?url=h … icense.pdf
You can download the software and install it on your apache server, it's licensed under GPL.
EDIT: The render script doesn't look very difficult, so maybe you can add chm and djvu on your own to convert it.
