Hmm maybe it's driver problem.
I will try xf86-input-mouse-git from AUR
Someone tested it?

I use an USB mouse, but it isn't configured in xorg.conf.
Check if you have hal and xf86-input-evdev installed, then start hal and after it X. The mouse should work without the need to set anything manually.

Did you start hal daemon? Or turn off input hotplugging:
Section "ServerFlags"
Option "AutoAddDevices" "False"
EndSection
http://ispconfig.lt - ISPConfig 3 based hosting. Coming Soon!

You get freeze cause you didn't start hal before starting X (I had simillar problem). I wrote an example of turning off hotplugging Or maybe your user aren't in the hal and dbus groups?

I'm Sure that I start hal before X
User is in this 1 group ,becouse I'm not using hal all time.

It might help to examine /var/log/Xorg.0.log for messages concerning the mouse or any errors. Try
grep -in "mouse" /var/log/Xorg.0.log
grep -n "(EE)" /var/log/Xorg.0.log
