I too run Intel Video. I use KMS and UXA and all that stuffs.
Sorry I just spotted in my Thread that I didn't state the error codes i was getting. But they are the same error.

So, it looks like the suggestion in this thread seems to solve the problem.

For reference, it was to add the following line to the [servers] section of /etc/gdm/custom.conf
0=Standard vt7
Can anyone else confirm that this solves the problem?

I moved gdm from rc.conf to rc.local, and I haven't had this problem ever since.

That would fix it based on Timing.
It would make sure the gettty's had started before GDM was launched.
It like the other 'fix' is more of a work around, tho it's less Arch's KISS than the custom.conf editing.
