[SOLVED] Problems with avahi

Since a few days ago avahi is having problems shutting down when I restart of turn off my computer. Avahi starts fine and I can turn it off manually without getting a [FAIL] except at shutdown or reboot. I can't figure out what is causing the error, is there a way to debug it?

Regards

André

FIXED: Moved the avahi-daemon up in rc.conf and removed fam from rc.conf and replaced it with gamin.

Re: [SOLVED] Problems with avahi

This what I found in /etc/var/daemon.log for when I turned off my machine

Aug 27 23:29:34 andre init: Switching to runlevel: 0
Aug 27 23:29:35 andre avahi-daemon[3372]: Disconnected from D-Bus, exiting.
Aug 27 23:29:35 andre avahi-daemon[3372]: Got SIGQUIT, quitting.
Aug 27 23:29:35 andre avahi-daemon[3372]: Leaving mDNS multicast group on interface eth1.IPv4 with address 192.168.1.3.

and got [FAIL] under Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD daemon.

Re: [SOLVED] Problems with avahi

I got the same error message when turning off my laptop:

:: Stopping Avahi mDNS/DNS-SD Daemon [FAIL]

I just -Syu my desktop machine and i noticed that before the update avahi terminated fine, but now it gets the same.
Looking for the updated packegs i don't think avahi got updated. I'll look better.

Re: [SOLVED] Problems with avahi

Avahi hasn't been updated in a while now so it must be something else that is causing avahi to fail.
