Hey
I live a students dormitory, where every room has a connection over an internal network to the internet.
But since the update from dhcpcd 5.0.2 to 5.0.4, I can't get online anymore. I don't have any problems
with my not updatet arch64.
I downgraded again to 5.0.2, but this didn't help.
Thanks for helping
Greetings

Is the error a timeout error or what kind of error, please post the output of your attempts. If you downgraded then its supposed to be working again if its a dhcpcd problem, maybe the problem resides on another component that got updated.

I was having a problem with wicd and obtaining an ip address (seemed to be dhcpcd related) so I fell back on old reliable netcfg and everything is working that way.

I used netcfg and switched then to wicd. I actually get an IP-Adress, but as far as I can remember, it has a diffrent pattern, compared to ones I got, when everything worked.
Right now I don't have acces to my Laptop. But I will post as many outputs as I can find, as soon as I am at home.

I just see right now, that with windows I have exactly the same IP-adress. Maybe I will try netcfg again and look what will happen, but not right now.

An other strange thing: I can send a ping to diffrent sites and receive a package, but I can't load the site with w3m nor firefox.
I even tried this with netcfg2, and the same problem appears.
