Pank: What are you using with emacs to have the formulas show while editing?
It is AUCTeX. Actually, I attend the University that used to be AUC. I am not studying math though . . .

Very nice setup. I hope to have something like that one day, I have been using OpenBox for about a year and hope to get my head around Xmonad or another tiling wm sometime soon.
BTW I was curious, what browser are using in the middle screenshot and can it display images if needed?
Thanks
indeed, Taters is right. Uzbl + Lich's css. it displays images just fine

Been running KDE since 2005, but after running compiz as a standalone WM i've finally found my perfect desktop setup!
BTW some of the screenshots you guys post are PURE art, it just blows my mind watching openbox/fwm/awesome putting up a good fight visually with full blown DE's like KDE/GNOME.

1) Your LaTeX looks nicer than mine (eg: fractions look clearer and my integral signs are italic). Any idea why? Here's a screenshot of mine: http://misc.barrucadu.co.uk/emacs.png
2) What value for preview-scale-function do you have? I can't seem to get it quite right.
Thanks.

I use Emacs to do my LaTeX too, but I don't do maths and such, only basic paperwork. I have an offtopic question: is this "live preview" thing available only for math signs and such, or can it be used for more general things (like if I set an area of text to be bold - display bolded, to use a bigger font - display with larger font, etc)?
