mysqld connection from external ip take 10 seconds
Hi folks,
I wasn't too sure how to phrase the subject.
Anyway, I have a mysql server running which works just fine except for connections to the external ip take 10 seconds to be accomplished.
On the other hand when I connect locally speciying no ip or 127.0.0.1 the connection is immediately established.
Furthermore the same machine runs vsftpd and connecting to the ftp daemon works flawlessly (and quick).
I'm somewhat clueless what the issue might be...
Any help/ ideas are highly appreciated.

Just in case someone runs into the same problem: Adding the hosts in question to /etc/hosts solves the issue.
