I just ran about 400mb of updates to my Arch.... they seemed to mess with my login page...
now I cant choose the session I prefer (gnome, kde, xfce) it just auto chooses my default...
any suggestions?

hmmm...I see what your saying...but that really didnt help... i guess those instructions were for gnome... I'm default to xfce...

it doesn't matter what DE you are using. You are using GDM to login correct?
if the latest updates that you downloaded included GDM...it means that you will have to fix it just as the others have listed on the wiki page.

I followed the steps the best I could...(I am a newbie to Arch) .... everything I did had no effect on the GDM... HELP?!?!?

You should be able to choose your session with a tab that appears in the bottom panel after you've clicked on your user name.

Also, got this error after trying to change it......
