Yeah, you would need a connection in order to be able to use wpa supplicant.  I was referring more to the problem that was posted on this thread sometime in October by Bart(t, which seemed to be similar to the one I was having.

And yeah, you should probably post in the other thread if you're having that problem.

I haven't performed your suggestion yet alexandrite. The last three days I am having a stable connection. When I had connection I also performed a system upgrade, which included a new kernel. I hope the stability remains.
