Archassistant Privileges

When running Archassistant with no special privileges, I can't autodetect wireless networks. How do I
a) run Archassistant from boot using kdesu?
or
b) enable Archassistant to autodetect wireless networks without requiring kdesu?
Thanks for any help you may offer!

Re: Archassistant Privileges

use sudo instead.

edit the sudoers file (using the 'visudo') command and add the archassistant

Re: Archassistant Privileges

Thank you for that reference, I didn't see that before. What I actually did was set sudoer permissions and change group ownership of /etc/network.d/ like it said at the end of that post. Thanks alot!

Re: Archassistant Privileges

Actually, I'm sorry, one more question. When I start up my system now I have multiple instances of archassistant. The permissions work correctly, but they interfere with each other. I have a symlink in my ~/.kde4/Autostart directory. Why is it creating multiple instances? Thanks again for any more help.
