Play music over the network

Hi,

I have a LAN at my home between two computers, and I want to realize something:
issue a command on computer1, so that music (mp3's) start playing at computer2 (which is connected to hi-fi installation)
Is this possible? And if so, which programs do I need to install? (If I know what to install, then I can start reading wikis to get things going myself). I already installed nfs (computer1=client, computer2=server) and that works fine, but I want to send "commands".

You might want to look at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Mpd
