irclog service

Hello.

I'd like to provide a weblog for an IRC-Channel, which i can make browsable (on-the-web) lateron.

The question is: which pieces of software are known to log irc channels, and how do they log? Is there any logger logging the chats to a database? How about "daily log-saves" where you can search for terms in? How are the logs organized.

I've just found "irclogger" yet, which seems to be quite useful. Anyway, i'm asking for experience you have, with logging IRC-Channels.

I'm using good ol' eggdrop for logging. It creates logs on daily basis. Yet, it'd obviously need more work to create something you already have with irclogger.
