I have a slight permissions problem with an nfs mount. I need the mount to be owned by a particular user, say uid=1000 and guid=1000 but my mount line gives the ownership to another user on the box. I'm not very adept with nfs, but with samba (cifs), this is controlled by adding a uid=x,gid=y in the mount line. NFS doesn't seem to take it.
Here is the /etc/fstab entry for the mount:
192.168.1.2:/share/docs /mnt/docs nfs defaults,auto 0 0
Anyone skilled with NFS mounts?
EDIT: I see now that the user on the box exporting the share has the same uid/gid as the WRONG user on the 2nd box. I definitely need some mount options to fix this. I can't change the uid/gid on either box.
