Hi all,
I'm currently resetting up a server after a RAM overheating issue. It is a completely fresh install using the 2009.08 network installation usb image and I noticed when setting up cups and samba for windows printing that I no longer have mime.types and mime.convs in /etc/cups/. I can of course copy them from my old installation, but since they don't seem to be included maybe they aren't necessary anymore, with the slightly newer versions of cups (and samba)? OTOH I can't find any documentation changes to that effect...
So are they needed anymore, or is it a bug that they are missing. Anyone else notice it?
Grateful for any help, or preferably pointers to obvious change documentation that I have missed.
Thanks!
Edit: scratch that, I don't have them in my old install either, probably because during the RAM problem period I uninstalled and reinstalled several packages completely...
Edit2: Found them. It's just in a different location from where every tutorial on the Internet says they are. Sorry for being stupid. Apparently it helps to write, just as well as to ask, stupid questions. They are located in /usr/share/cups/mime/ if anyone else happens to stop thinking.
