I have a strange issue and it goes like this....
I am using Linux (of course) and am using pidgin with an msn account that is a @gmail.com account. While I am logged into that account on pidgin, 2 friends of mine have issues sending me messages. They recieve errors similar to 'Cannot send message to client' or something along those lines. I disable that account on pidgin and log onto that account using emesene instead and there is no problems for people to send me messages. So I figure its a problem with Pidgin. Now get this....My other msn account (an @hotmail.com account) has no problems recieving messages from people. I have no idea how I can try to isolate the issue or how to begin fixing it, or even just figure out what my problem is.
The closest thing I have found on this would be http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/939 but I don't think its quite related.
Any ideas appreciated.

I'm sorry I don't know the answer to your problem.
Pidgin has pretty *%$ support for MSN's protocol.
I suggest you try this http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=15327 or maybe try the git version since that one is marked as out of date.

Emesene seems to work fine so I might just stick with that for now then I guess. Not to mention the problems I have with pidgin and getting dced from group chats constantly
