Well this is a first for me....my wireless worked like a charm on my new UL30A-X4, but eth0 couldn't pull an IP via dhcp or connect statically using a netcfg profile. It uses atl1c, but it's not working apparently.

I just finished installing the core image and I'm going to begin upgrading everything, but I have no ethernet so any help would be greatly appreciated
To make matters worse eth0 is misssing now.....I just found this thread:

THey had the same problem. I'm reading now, but if anyone has any input I'd appreciate it.

Ok it seems that I can at least bring the interface up with
sudo ifconfig etho up
I got an IP once through DHCP using:
sudo dhcpcd eth0
However when I disconnect the cable my laptop completely locks up. No caps-lock toggle, nothing. However it happened once while listening to Amarok and it kept playing without a hitch.
Still trying to figure this one out.
