ADSL Speedtouch USB 330 Help needed! [Fxd]

Hi Archers,

i have problems setting up my 330 Speedtouch USB ADSL modem. i have installed rp-pppoe, the speedtouch package from extra. i run modprobe usbnet & speedtch. i tried also the program from this site http://s1x.homelinux.net/downloads/spee … installer/ , but when i run pppd, i get an error that my kernel is built without PPP support. i am running AL's kernel-2.6.3 .
also hwd doesn't detect my modem. i don't have the module usbcore. i don't know if it's needed. are there other modules or drivers that i might need?

any help would be appreciated. thanks a lot.

Regards, Shemeta

Have you got libusb?

Does your system show modem connected (ie info center USB devices in KDE)?

I know this may not help you but I had the same modem in the end I stuck on Ebay & bought a router (Solwise SAR130) never looked back.....

Re: ADSL Speedtouch USB 330 Help needed! [Fxd]

Hola!  big_smile

i finally figured it out with the help of Steve Parker, the maker of Speedtouchconf script. now i am online with my Speedtouch 330 USB ADSL modem. i hope he will fix his script. if not, you can contact me & i can email it to anybody. or i can upload the package somewhere, since i don't have any webspace yet. it is only for kernel-2.6.x & it works with the Speedtouch 330.

That's all folks, time to do pacman -Syu   wink
