Opensource, free backup utility for a company use. Suggestions.

Hi everyone.

I need to be able to make backup on my drive partitions, and then restore them in a case of a system crash. Can you suggest me such software that is free or opensource, and is suitable for company use.

I have tried fsarchiver and partimage so far. My boss made me to try Acronis True Image. What do you think about partimage. Is it good enough to be use on corporate servers? What are you using for making backups on whole drive partitions in your companies or at home? Everything will be useful.

Thank you.

Regards.

Tarsnap? It is for external backup though. You could probably modify the source code though to point to some other server . . . edit: I don't know if that is okay. You'd have to look into that yourself.

The license on the Tarsnap client code restricts it to being used in the context of the Tarsnap service.  I wish I could distribute it under a free license, but the practical matter of needing to eat gets in the way of that.

I myself use rdiff-backup, however if you need something more complex/robust, you could have a look at mondorescue.
