fail to start networkmanager

Hello,

Everything was fine, I just managed to use the internet on my new system (archlinux of course big_smile) and it doesn't work anymore...

As I remember, this morning everything works (I even changed my boot order to start on arch first). As I didn't want to enter my password to connect to the internet at start-up (I've enabled automatic connexion in gdm), I read that I needed to put an empty password in seahorse.
I think it's the only think I did that could have caused that (no update, no new programs,...) but changing it back didn't have any effect...

After the reboot (to test), I wasn't able to connect with the networkmanager any more

I tried to start it manually

$ sudo /etc/rc.d/networkmanager start
:: Starting NetworkManager                                               [FAIL]

the entries from /var/log/daemon.log of the last boot

Re: fail to start networkmanager

you may want to start hal before starting networkmanager

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.

Re: fail to start networkmanager

I'm already doing it

from /etc/rc.conf

DAEMONS=(syslog-ng @network @alsa netfs hal networkmanager @crond @gdm dbus @fam)

or should I put it earlier ?
I did some modifications to boost the boot time (without success) but the networkmanager used to work even after

Re: fail to start networkmanager

remove dbus from the start. hal is starting it automatically
