I need to disable usblp to get my USB printer to work.
I have !usblp in the MODULES= section of rc.conf, but it still gets loaded at boot time anyway. I can manually rmmod usblp and all is well, but what am I doing wrong such that the !usblp directive in rc.conf is getting ignored?

usblp -> !usblp in your MODULES array in /etc/rc.conf

OP already said he has it as !usblp.

So, your computer denies your commands and loads "usblp" anyway, and then the printer doesn't work? That is very strange.
I'm sorry, I don't know why. As a workaround, you could try putting "rmmod usblp" in "/etc/rc.local".
