NetworkManager and dnsmasq compatible?

Hi!

I'm having a little trouble with NetworkManager and dnsmasq. I'm using dnsmasq perfectly on my desktop computer, which uses the "network" daemon and a static IP to connect to the network. I want to improve DNS query times in my laptop too, but dnsmasq doesn't work when I connect to the network using networkmanager. Are they compatible?

I have followed the dnsmasq guide in the wiki, step by step.

Thank you!

Re: NetworkManager and dnsmasq compatible?

I define DNS manually in the NetworkManager connection, 127.0.0.1, <isp dns1>, <isp dns2>

Re: NetworkManager and dnsmasq compatible?

I have been looking at NetworkManager configuration and haven't found it. Also, if I put 127.0.0.1 in my /etc/resolv.conf, networkmanager overwrites it every time i restart my computer. I have put "nameserver 127.0.0.1" in /etc/resolv.conf.head and it hasn't worked.

What do I have to do?

Thank you!
