is `VGA' a valid output name? Check the names of the available outputs running xrandr with no arguments.

The monitor is called 'default' which means you have to use
xrandr --output default

yes. already plugin the monitor cable.

If you're using the nVidia binary blob, you'll need to use nvidia-settings to enable the display as I don't think it supports RandR. If you're using nouveau, report a bug to them.
Offline
i didn't using nouveau. i think i using pacman to install nvidia.
in nvidia-setting, i press detect, but also display only one device.
Offline
maybe your VGA port is not working. did you use it before?
when i plugin monitor vga cable, reboot system, i can see the monitor is show same as laptop. when i "startx", then monitor become black again.
Offline
Could be an nVidia bug. If you don't need accelerated 3d, try nouveau.
Offline
is that really a nvidia bugs? is that my /etc/X11/xorg.conf haven't setting anything?
