xrandr problem

when i using the command

xrandr --output VGA

it show me

warning: output VGA not found ignoring

i'm using laptop. and nvidia card. fluxbox interface.

is `VGA' a valid output name?  Check the names of the available outputs running xrandr with no arguments.

The monitor is called 'default' which means you have to use

xrandr --output default

If you're using the nVidia binary blob, you'll need to use nvidia-settings to enable the display as I don't think it supports RandR.  If you're using nouveau, report a bug to them.

i didn't using nouveau. i think i using pacman to install nvidia.
in nvidia-setting, i press detect, but also display only one device.

when i plugin monitor vga cable, reboot system, i can see the monitor is show same as laptop. when i "startx", then monitor become black again.

Could be an nVidia bug.  If you don't need accelerated 3d, try nouveau.
