Samba problem

Hello,

I am trying to access my work files from my house, and I therefore have to mount a windows share, but I have problems with this. In principle it works; I can establish the connection and see my files. However, directory listing is completely messed up. Files appear as directories and are inaccessible; permissions change all the time (in front of my eyes), "last modified date" changes all the time, and user/group as well. Basically the network drive is highly unstable and unusable in this way.

I simply followed the samba wiki, and I can also login properly (because I can see my files, but they are inaccessible), but it doesn't work properly.

This is the mount command:
sudo /sbin/mount.cifs //SERVER/SHARE /mnt/uva -o user=USER,ip=IP

I don't know a lot about the server; I access it from my workplace with an XP computer without problems. Any ideas to make it work?

Re: Samba problem

Today I stumbled upon this problem again, but it seems to be related to my filemanager emelfm. In aterm and nautilus everything works fine. This is rather strange.
