Re: [Solved]Nouveau: Fatal server error: No screen founds

Can you load nouveau module after installing nouveau-drm and nouveau-firmware (if needed), and post dmesg output ?

pacman roulette : pacman -S $(pacman -Slq | LANG=C sort -R | head -n $((RANDOM % 10)))

Re: [Solved]Nouveau: Fatal server error: No screen founds

Make sure you have removed any proprietary Nvidia drivers completely from the system (unless you really know what you are doing).  Removing them from xorg.conf isn't enough.  That is possible reason for the error.  Also you need to make sure you enable KMS as mentioned in the wiki.

I should explain more.  The remnants from the proprietary nvidia driver can interfere with proper loading of the nouveau driver.

Re: [Solved]Nouveau: Fatal server error: No screen founds

davidm's suggestion sounds correct.  I would like to add that it may also be necessary to add

blacklist uvesafb

to the file /etc/modprobe.d/framebuffer_blacklist.conf .

Re: [Solved]Nouveau: Fatal server error: No screen founds

Thanks, I had to 'rmmod' to the 'nvidia' module.
