Hi,
Been using arch for a while, and this is the first time I've seen a problem like this, not quite sure how to investigate it...
Basically, I'm trying to connect to two different standard unmodified O2 (UK ISP, gives you a wireless box with your internet package) wireless connections, one at home, and one at my Girlfriend's.
The home connection works fine, got that all set up with netcfg as per the usual.
However, the ESSID of my girlfriend's network wont show up in arch, despite it showing up in windows on the same laptop, and every other device that's connected to it...
Any ideas on why this is happening or what I can do to force my computer to find it?
Thanks ![]()

can you try changing the router to channel 1 and seeing if you can see it? if it's on auto channel select maybe it's using a channel (12/13) that your wifi driver can't properly detect (or isn't configured for)

OK, yeah, that seemed to be the problem...can see it and connect fine now
Thanks very much ![]()
Was set to channel 13 since there'd been some conflicts with neighbouring wifi systems, but channel one seems ok. Guess I should do a scan and see what's on what channel...
