Any idea why every time I shut down I get that error message? Everything else stops just fine, except that. I don't like the word "Fail" every time i turn of the comp. haha.
What might be the issue?

have you tried editing the rc.d script for networkmanager to solve it?

Actaully, I followed that link that bangkoks gave me and it worked. It was so simple: Add dbus in front of hal in rc.conf DAEMONS! ![]()
The wiki page on HAL and the Beginner's Guide need these details. I those manuals, i remember it saying that you don't need dbus in your DAEMONS because HAL automatically loads it.
But adding one extra little word won't harm anything and will prevent the user from seeing "FAIL" everytime he shuts down, so they should include it, just for the best possible experience. I'm gunna go find where it says that and add it. ![]()
