guidance needed with Hamachi

Hi guys,

First of all, i'm new to Arch, installed it like a week ago and was very impressed by the amazing documentation in the Wiki section and overall I felt I was not alone in the struggle smile

Anyways, I managed to config and install everything I'm used to (and only that ;] ) . In the past two days I've been trying to connect via Hamachi to my friend (also using Arch).. we both installed it and it runs OK, when we do "hamachi list" we see each other with * near our fake IP's and everything, however something is not perfectly right in the connection - we can't see each other in a LAN match in Warcraft 3 (running via WINE).

I've installed hamachi in my virtualbox Windows XP and when I add there my friend, his little green dot starts blinking and a note appears saying there's a tunneling problem.  I also connected to another friend with a Windows machine and he is not blinking and the connection is solid, meaning the Hamachi in my VirtualBox manages is not the problem and the problem is something with the Hamachi in our GNU/Linux machines.

I Googled a lot and found various solutions, some including finding my ham0 ip via ifconfig and then adding a route from 5.0.0.0 to that gateway, however results remain the same.

Any ideas/tips?
Thanks guys.

Re: guidance needed with Hamachi

You get any error in the logs? Something more specific than tunneling problem?

Re: guidance needed with Hamachi

run hamachi on both you arch box and the windows machine in the VM, and then check for the problem, check /var/log/everything.log after the 'tunneling problem' message, maybe you can find some info.
